Yesterday (Sunday) I received a call from Monica at 8am..."Rise and Shine"...Dusty's home, let's ride!
So we leave our house at 10:30 headed for Katy, the ride from The Woodlands to Katy was beautiful, the weather was very pleasant...We arrive at Monica's house to meet them in their driveway with Bennett and Susan all ready to go...with a quick hug from Monica we take off to the gas station, we fill up and we're off to the Thirsty Parrot in Monaville, Texas. Where??? Just ride...
We ride for a while down some really small snaky little roads and
finally arrive at the Thirsty Parrot, by now we are all very thirsty...thank God for the Parrot.
What a fun place we all order beer and sit outside.
I'd never met Susan before she was really a lot of fun...
After having some lunch and Monica getting friendly with the live parrots, we were off to Harleys and Horses on 2920.
What a great ride those areas are so pretty the weather was perfect not too hot, not too cool.
Here's a better picture of Susan we gave her a hard time, about the girls, she really was a fun gal...
Finally once we felt pretty geographically challenged we make it to Harleys and Horses...we order our beer, find and table and begin plotting out our plan for the rest of the afternoon...you know all the great minds together and all...
Well Bennett decides we should ride to Bryan Texas...yep Bryan...Aggieland...and have a beer on the lake...so off we go!
Before heading out Monica, Susan and I decide we'd better make a pit stop before we hit that long ride, so when we come out here's what we found greeting us...woohoo buffet line...something for everyone!!!!
What seems like forever we arrive at Lake Bryan...
This was a fun place, the lake was really nice, who knew it was even there...Bennett, I guess. It was a great idea, thanks Bennett!
We sat out on the patio, watch the crazies on the lake had a few more beers and learned several things about Monica's vertibra and sphincter muscles...TMI Monica. It was also a great place to duck in out of the rain...thank goodness we were there when the pouring rain hit...the colorful folks from the lake weren't too thrilled, but for us it was a great place to rest up for the ride back. So as the sun starts to set we pull out for the trip home. Monica, Dusty, Susan and Bennet were heading back to Katy while Kemper and I planned to peal off at 105 and go home...it was now 7:30pm and we were tired. So we rode together as long as we could and left them at 105 and who knows where. The sun was gone and the night was pretty chilly...time to start keeping a jacket in the bags. At least the bugs weren't too bad...but the road obsticles were, as usual...
