The Wildhog Trail

Whoda thunk it? The weather 77 degrees and nothin' but sun...gotta love South Texas...

Me and Wildhog had patches made for our vest...my brother Kevin drew them for us based on our suggestion...see the way Kemper and I see our lives is that everything revolves around Time, Money and Calories...so our patch, we think represents that. It means "We're not here for a Long Time, we're here for a Good Time". In fact, it's all about time...and how you choose to spend it!
So on this Sunday afternnon, we dropped the kids and struck out on an afternoon ride...Wildhog and I never really have a plan...but we know when we NEED at Shiner...so we took off straight from home to our local beer joint...the "Beer Joint" off of 1488 just West of 2978, gotta love this place big yellow building, with great parking for bikes...ya can't miss it...Shiner pouring and bikes for as far as the eye can see...well...as far as the parking lot goes, okay. We like that place, we always meet interesting people there...funny 'cause bikers are friends where ever you are. Like we met the guy from "Rough Riders" http://www.roughridersrc.com/ their a large riding group based out of Conroe they meet at the VFW every second Saturday of the month at 10 am. We might stop in to check them out sometime. They're planning a 10 day ride to Yellowstone in the spring...sounds pretty fun. But you know...RULES ain't our thing, so well see.
From there we went to "Killin' Time Kookers" right off 2978 just a few miles south of Woodlands Parkway...it's a great place for a "Big O' Burger...our friends Monica and Dusty cook with them each year for the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo http://www.hlsr.com/ ...if you're ever in that area you must stop by.
Then we went to a new place..."Baron's Ice House" just down the road from us...on 1488. It's new, so the parking is still a work in progress, but the Shiner is only $2.25...OMG! worth the stop in it's self. Scott and Kimberly are alway friendly and welcome all bikers alike. From there we went to "Chuy's" for a bite and some time with my mom....good thing she picked "Chuy's" http://www.chuys.com/location.html ya know Nana wasn't exactly dressed for fine dinning...everyone's welcome there. So anyway, when Emma was done with us we took off to the house...nah...still early enough to make another stop at "Baron's" for one more of those precious $2.25 Shiner's...me and Wildhog now thinkin' this is our new home away from home...and you know Kemper and I we make friends no matter... Wilson was the best companion we could ask for...and I must mention a fine nephew to Scott and Kimberly. Too bad the conversation was hard ...well...okay...Wilson is a dog...NO...he was cute and all...he was really a dog...I forget what kind...but real fine dog....he sat up at the bar with the up most respect for all patrons. We'll go back there for sure.

Our other stops include but are not limited to...Papa's on the Lake, Harley and Horses, Ugly's, The Thirsty Parrot and Papa's in the Woodlands too, but only every other weekend...provided all coast are clear...heehee...see being clocked by the bitter Ex-wife, in previous post.
Don't go far...more to come...birdies tell me Wildhog has some really special road trip in store for me soon.

Check out this website for the upcoming rides and events...you might see us there...http://www.texmoto.com/
